The Serving Team: Service |
![]() |
"Our work is only the expression of the love we have for God."
The Service Team is the liaison between the homebound members, shut-ins, service organizations, and the church.
The team assigns members to keep in touch with the homebound and nursing home members through cards, flowers, visits, and special holiday gifts. Also donations/gifts are given to the Hoffman Homes for Youth (Gettysburg, PA) at Christmas time. There is a yearly birthday party for all the residents at Homewood Nursing Center in Williamsport, MD.
The Service team is also responsible for the church's yearly food bank drive. By a special program from the community, the board has a Harvest Home display that members may donate any food, non-perishable items and school supplies that will be distributed to the local food bank for the Thanksgiving and Christmas holidays.
The team sponsors the annual Christmas Caroling Night in July to bring special songs and visits to our homebound and shut-in members.
The team and its programs would not be a success without the generosity, dedication, and caring of our Christ's Reformed Church members and friends.
